St. Kevin of Glendalough
St. Kevin, or Caoimhín, was a revered hermit and ascetic of 6th-century Ireland. Born into nobility, he sought profound solitude in the valley of Glendalough, where he lived a life of intense prayer and austerity.
Despite his desire for isolation, his holiness drew many followers, and Glendalough became a significant early Irish monastic center. Remembered for his deep connection with nature and numerous miracles, St. Kevin remains an inspiring figure of Celtic Orthodox spirituality.
